Lookup function

I am doing a lookup function =Lookup(Date,Date_Range1,Offset(Time1,-4,1))
The difficulty is with Date_Range1 which is $a$3:$cr$3.
When I evaluate the formula, Date_Range1 will not go beyond AN3. These
values are dates which are in increasing order every 7 days.
The last date that the formula evaluates properly is 8/29/2003. All Dates
entered into Date after 8/29 i.e. 9/5/2003 evaluate to 8/29.

Data in Time1 is in groups of 3 columns A= a date "4/4/2003" B = Text
"Brae" a name of a golf course. C = Blank.
This repeats every three columns weekly until the problem columns BO, BP,
BQ. which in the following copy & paste represent columns
BL BM BN BO BP BQ BR BS BT
8/29 Dorch 9/5 Brae 9/12 Druid

the lookup date 9/5 and any later dates entered returns Dorch but should
return Brae.
If I use the insert function to create the formula, Lookup_vector
Date_Range1 returns {37715,"Brae",0,37} The correct response.

Paul, There seems to be a bug in my Excel, When I delete the named range,
the name does not delete, but the range changes to an earlier used range.
Deleting the named range again deletes the old range which was AN3!

Charlie,

I am not sure what would cause that. Since this is a fairly old post and
since this is a new question it may be best to start a new post.
