LookUp function in a pivot table

I have a pivot table that breaks my products down to the
individual component levels. I am trying to introduce a
calculated field to the pivot table which is merely a
lookup function which assigns certain numbers to the
individual products. Does anyone know how I can do that?

AFAIK this is not possible with calculated fields. Bet to include this
number in your source data and add it as additional row item in your
pivot table
