Hello,

I run a hockey pool and I want easy roster management. What I woul
like is to have the 1st sheet to have every single NHL player on on
sheet. Then 10 different sheets with for the teams in my hockey pool.

What would be great is to have a formula that would look at column
for the team and copy the information on Column B and C on th
appropriate sheet.

Column A Column B Column C
Toronto Sakic, Joe Centre

Then I would find on sheet Toronto Sakic, Joe and Centre.

If he were traded to Vancouver, then I would select Vancouve
(Validation>list I created) and then he would be on Vancouver sheet an
dissappear from the toronto sheet.

What you want to do takes VBA. I'm a hockey nut myself so I'd like to help
you with this. But what you have written is not clear. For instance, from
what you say, the first sheet has one column of player names and the other
sheets are one sheet per team. From this I can't figure out what sheet has
the Columns A, B and C that you mention.
If you wish, send me your file direct via email, with as much
explanation as you can. Some examples of what you want to happen are always
good. My email address is (e-mail address removed). Remove the "nop" from
this address. HTH Otto

Just curious.

When did Sakic get traded to Toronto from Colorado?

Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP

The team in my hockey pool named the Toronto Maple Leafs has Joe Sakic.

Otto, I'll e-mail you the sheet tonight.

He's playing fantasy hockey or whatever it is called just like the Canadian
and the US men did in the last Olympics, removed from reality <vbg> (Of
course the Canadian girls won)

I didn't think of that. Yes, the US and Canadian men decided to not
play in the last Olympics. Otto

I have not received your file. Read again my message where I gave you my
email address. Read the entire message. You have to modify the address I
gave you.
If you did send it to the correct address, is your file very large?
Perhaps your system or my system will not transmit/receive that large a
message. In that case, try sending a small message and we'll go from
there. HTH Otto
