Keep seeing it used, but can't find it for download and those using it
seem reluctant to say where they got it from.

Just posted the version that I have to alt.binaries.freeware . I
can't remember where I got it from. It's been a while. Is this what
you're looking for?

No. The version I'm after is Yenc-PP-GB&L8.

From the header of one of the posters using it.

X-Newsposter: YENC-POWER-POST-GB&L8 - 52 Thread w/ Progress! (Modified
POWER-POST www.CosmicWolf.com)

There is also another version:

X-Newsposter: Yenc-Power-Post-GB-12

I think these are modifications of YENC-POWER-POST-A&A-v11b, which I use
currently. 11b has a bug in it's yEnc encoding though, which every now and
then causes a corruption to a post and makes is shorter than it should be,
even though every single part is available on the server.

Oh, that's some special build? Sorry, missed that.
What is so special about it?

Ivan.

Hehe, that's what I'm trying to find out.

This is from the header:

It's not so much the extra threads I'm interested in, but whether it
solves the bug with A&A 11b (it some times makes the parts smaller than
they should be, but the parts still look 100% complete on the server) that
Assert never got round to fixing because the A&A version is no longer
being worked on. These other versions (there is also a
Yenc-Power-Post-GB-12) look to be modifications on A&A 11b, but I don't
know if the extra threads is all. I've never been able to get a reply from
those using these other versions on where to get it.

For any one interested, I've been passed this link to
Yenc-Power-Post-GB-12.
