I have looked right and left for such a utility but no luck so far...
Colored file names should be visible also when using File->Open
in any MS Office program or when listing files with Windows Explorer.
Not interested in utilities that color-code folders...
If anyone knows of such a utility, freeware of shareware,
please come forth! :)
I am using Win2k.
Thanks.

Try *File Wizard*, I have never tried it myself .

It might be what you're looking for.

Do you mean in Explorer itself or in an Explorer replacement?

Hi!

I would prefer in Explorer itself but I realize that I have to be
flexible...
Would prefer something, though, that keeps the color coding of the
file even when using MS Office File->Open feature.
Thanks.

Well, of course this group is for the discussion of freeware only, so
it's freeware you should be looking for here.

Sorry, I looked and looked and couldn't find anything for you. Maybe
somebody else will have better luck.

Darned good idea though! Maybe somebody will write such a utility.
