looking for program to create eps-files

Hi group,

I was wondering if there's any freeware out there, that can create
eps-files, or convert other graphic formats to .eps

Eps is this Encapsulated Post Script?

If so then the answer is yes even though I don't use the program for
this.

PDFCreator which uses GostScript to operate.

At the Priceless ware web site.

Hi..

If you are looking to convert bitmap images to eps (or other vector
format) - I suggest looking at my open source directory site, which
lists open source alternatives to commercial applications. In this case
Corel Trace could have solves the problem - but find the open source
alternatives here: http://opensourcealternative.to/corel_trace

So far there is only one hits - but I am hoping to find more.

My apologies for the late reply, I had a major pc-meltdown which took
me a while to fix.
But yes, I meant Encapsulated Post Script.

I have a friend who has a small printshop, who offered me to print some
free T-shirts for my kid, if I delivered the stuff to print as a 300dpi
eps-file.
In the mean time I found Inkscape:

which gave me some nice results.

You should mention, that .eps does not work out of the box
especially on Windows. It requires Perl with Image::Magick
to open, GhostScript to save, both must be available on path
and even then it does not work for me (seems like it does
for others).
