looking for *NIX like utils but NOT cygwin or other *NIX emulator or simulator

functions (nothing specific) that can or cannot be used in .BAT files

i don't need or want CYGWIN or other such program but rather smaller
individual programs / files

unix command-line tools to get the unxutils set like Charles
