looking for info on ATI all-in-wonder 128 pro

Good day
I have an analog Sony Hi8 video camera along with an Ati all-in-wonder 128
pro video card. When I bought this vid card it came with a unit to attach
the camera to the vid card. I have had no luck on getting the audio to be
captured. I understand that I need to place another cable to my sound card
line-in. I have done this in as many combinations as I can think of with no
luck. I have Googled until I am blue in the face to find a drawing or
something that will explain this to me.

Does anyone know where I can find something simple for the average guy
because that's me on this problem I am having.

What software are you using, and
do you have recording volume control set correctly?

Thank you for responding Andy.
I am using the software that came with the card it is Launch Pad ATI
Multimedia Center Version 7.1. I also have the volume control set for
Recording and have the line-in checked. Then in the Record Control I have
the Line-in selected.

I think a better question is how are you hooking up the camcorder? What
type of cable(s), and what is the name on the input connector(s)?
