This is kind of a random question, but hopefully someone
will know the answer. I think I am missing a file or
something on my computer. Probably a Temp file. Or,
perhaps it is something else, that is why I am asking the
question.
Here are the symptoms:
Windows constantly asks me if I want to use Autocomplete
for such things as passwords. I click yes, but it never
does it and will ask me again the next time.
When using Outlook Express, I constantly have to enter my
passwords even though I have the save password box
checked and the passwords are entered in the account
settings.
When I want to watch a video clip, or anything else on
the net that must download temporarily, I am unable to do
so. It downloads, but then when Realplayer or whatever
opens and looks for it, the file is gone. So, I must
actually download and save the file and then I can watch
it.
.....These are a few problems off the top of my head. As
you can see, they seem to be related in the fact that it
has to do with Windows storing information somewhere, but
it never gets stored.
Also, I am running Norton Antivirus and Internet
Security. This might affect the viewing of movies, but I
do not think it would affect the Autocomplete or
passwords in Outlook Express.
Any advice or help would be much appreciated because it
does become tiresome to deal with these issues.
Thanks
