Looking for advice on reporting tool

Tom Rahav

Hello,

After long time of trying to work-around Crystal Reports's limits, I'm
looking for a third-party tool for creating designed and "heavy" reports
with Visual Basic .NET.
I tried GOOGLE, but found tons of tools that looks the same (more or
less)... does anyone know and can recommend on such tool?

Thanks!
Tom Rahav.

When you refer to limits in Crystal, are you referring to the version that
comes free with Visual Studio, or to the commercial product? If the former,
I'd suggest you try the full version here:

http://www.businessobjects.com/solutions/crystalreports/default.asp

You can get a 30 day trial and see if the full product will do what you
want, thus leveraging your current CR skills.

Hi Tom,

I'm using List & Label and especially the new version is really
comfortable to work with datasets and dotnet. You can download a trial
version (fully functional) from www.combit.net or something like that.
This trial version comes with a lot of programming examples and I
recommend to take a look at the dotnet examples. Have fun!
