Looking for a new desktop tool

Does anyone have a tool that

1. makes your desktop icons (shortcuts) invisible,
and they
2. only 'light up" or appear if you pass the cursor over
them?


That would be a very neat tool.


could someone program that, or is there an existing utility?

Yer know I can't think of anything more irritating than disappearing
desktop icons, its annoying and time consuming enough when the desktop
cleanup wizard gets run by my users experimenting and I have to go and
fix it.

M$ will be glad to do something like that, they specialise in bloody
stupid UI tools. Have you e mailed them they will love this one and
buil;d it straight into Vista making it extremely difficult to disable
while they are at it.

Why not just get something like Object Dock where you can dump all your
desktop icons into the various *docks* that are tucked at the corners of
your monitor?
