Looking for a fast laptop for scientific computing

Hi all,

I am looking for a laptop with truly exceptional computing performance. I
don't care about multimedia, movie, WiFi, widescreen and all those fancy
stuff. I want to use Matlab on this laptop exclusively. So it boils down to
RAM, CACHE, FPU, and CPU... What's the today's fastest computing laptop?

Irrelevant. Since laptops don't have ECC memory, they
should not be used for scientific computing.

This is more a troubleshooting group though I am sure you will get
opinions on the matter. You might be better off checking a hardware
forum like Toms Hardware or HardOCP or something.
