er start run "defrag"?
or Start Programs Accessories "System Tools" "Disk Defragmenter"
(but I've heard Windows ME's version is better)

So far I know, ME´s Scandisk is better, and can be used in Win9x, too.

It is - much much quicker. (I have 98se with 160GB of partitions
and it would take forever and a day with the Win98 Defrag.exe.
MEDefrag whistles through it ...)

Geodisk is nice; it removes standard rubbish, scandisks, and defrags all
drives, using the ME defragger, which it installs.

I do it every Sunday night (and maintain my computer, too)

When did MS release the ME defrag as a download ? Isn't it part of
ME ? If one doesn't have ME then one wouldn't have the licence
to use it.

Regards, John.

This was from GeoDisk, I just didn't get around to mentioning the name.
