I'm on a Win XP Pro SP2 box but it doesn't figure into this. I have seen
links to various KBs that are different from the usual type. By that I mean
they are on topics like Sound, CD/DVD, Hardware, but their approach is more
of an overview than Tshooting a specific problem or showcasing a feature.
This is an example of what I mean:

Dealing with Hardware Problems
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-gb;842624

I like these and there are several I want to find because they have frequent
screenshots and help in teaching.

I thought maybe this oldie but goodie might help me locate some of these:

How to query the Microsoft Knowledge Base by using keywords and query words
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;242450

but it doesn't. I have a few of these stashed somewhere and obviously the
people who post a link know how to find them but I can't. Can someone who
knows what hook to use to bring them up help me out?

I try to make cross posting rare but I thought it would be reasonable to put
this on Help and Support in case.

Tia,

Chad,

The sample link you posted is from Great Britain. I.e. en-gb English-Great
Britain. en-us is English-United States.

The GB site had a bunch of these KB articles.
They are published by Future Publishing Limited.

These two links have articles by Future Publishing Limited.

Check out this link. See Other Articles... in the right hand pane.

Ron thanks. Wes great collection of links and thanks so much for solving my
problem. I should have noticed the en=UK but even if I had I wouldn't have
come up with this really useful collection. I really appreciate the help--I
try to go after differrent lists of KBs within MSFT's links there and
outside so this is a nice addition to my collection.

Best,

Chad Harris

Chad,

I stumble across all kinds of things. If I could just remember where I
found everything... Got a fix for that? <LOL>

Keep having fun.

Just out of curiosity, what's different with them? Does the British
one say, "Sorry old chap, Windows must shut down. Cherrio!"
