Look up Query?

I'm currently building a db for my company that produces a 2 reports. Report
#1- company's we like. Report #2- company's we don't like. On the reports,
the users will need to be able to search for the company's by name or date
when the company was last used by our company. I'm not really sure how to
program the search function on DAP's. Would I use a lookup query?

You're question is tough to answer. You're talking about Reports and DAP's
and a programming a search function... all with the SQL Queries newsgroup.
So, it's hard to focus on just one aspect of the question.

So, if a DAP is your ultimate goal, then please post a question to that
newsgroup. If it's about reports, then the reports newsgroup. And if
you're interested in VBA code, then one of the coding newsgroups.
