Ok, so you're getting the ol' "This page cannot be displayed" error message, right? You've run Ad-Aware, Spybot, Norton, and every other utility under the sun, and you're still getting this error--just can't get out to the net

Look for text file on your machine called "SahAgent" (short for "Shop at Home"). There should be an uninstall file for this junk on your machine (if you're running Windows 2000 Server, look in the WINNT Directory). Run the uninstall and wait for your machine to reboot. When your machine comes back up, log in and hit the net. I can't figure out how it didn't get picked up or how it even got on the machine--everyone swears "they didn't do it". Nevertheless, it worked like a charm for me. Hope you have the same luck

Thanks for the link, Pa. I would, however, offer a few words of caution with respect to Pestpatrol's method of removing said spyware. Their initial step for manually removing the offending files states to do the following

"In Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs, find 'ShopAtHomeSelect Agent'. Use it to remove the software. Reboot.

Bad news, Pa. It was NEVER in Add/Remove. This was the first place I looked. Now, if Pestpatrol says that their package will detect and remove the SAHAGENT, that's great. I am reluctant to install their product on this server, as I have some colleagues in IS who have had their machines hosed up after installing Pestpatrol

If it works for others, more power to 'em

I never advised installing (buying) PestPatrol but often its removal
instructions are current. Unfortunately, with the flood of variants
recently, no one can keep entirely up-to-date. There just isn't enough
manpower.
