How can I make excel select a price from quantity breaks ?

i.e.

1 - 25 units = £ 5.00
26 - 50 units = £ 4.00
51 - 100 units = £ 3.00
etc
etc
etc

If user enters quantity in a cell, how can I make excel select the right
price

Without a labourious "If cell < 26 then £ 5, +if cell < 51, £ 4 etc etc"

Thanks

Vass

Hi
try the following
1. change your lookup table like the following (separate lower and
upper boundary
A B C
1 1 25 5.00
2 26 50 4.00
.....

now if your quantity is in cell E1 use the following function
=VLOOKUP(E1,$A$1:$C$10,3)
