A friend got a Windows Longhorn evaluation copy from Singapore which i had
the chance of trying out for a couple of days. It can only be classified as
' SUPERB '. Everything about is marvellous.
If anyone gets a chance to use it...please dont, because the wait till 2005
for the final release will be very painful. Now my Win XP Home and the Linux
Mandrake both feel like a Model T Ford compared to the Longhorn. I cannot
describe the beauty of the new system but would request Microsoft to try
releasing it as early as possible.

You are misreading what the posters are saying. It really boils down
to this:

1. If you are not an authorized Beta tester for MS, don't expect any
support if things go wrong.
2. Beta software from MS have separate, private newsgroups.
Authorized testers have access to them. That's the only place to get
help.
3. If you don't qualify for 1 or 2 above, don't post and ask for help
here.

Nobody is saying "unistall immediately." They are saying using Beta
software is extremely risky; those not authorized by MS to be trial
testers are on their own.

Longhorn is available to developers and is supported through some of the
public.windows.developer groups. It is not currently being beta tested as it
is still in a pre beta stage of development.
