long pauses when composing a message in Outlook 2007

When I am composing a message the keyboard hangs or pauses for about 10
seconds with nothing being added to the message. The buffer is still active
because if I continue to type it will all of a sudden be dumped to the
message. It really is quite anoying. My system is an Acer Ferrari 4005 with a
Gig of RAM.

Any suggestions?

Hi Bruce,

Don't use beta software :)
It's a performance issue in Outlook 2007 Beta that has been around since
the first beta. I don't know of any workaround besides waiting till it
is done.
How big is your PST file?
