London Excel User Conference - Thank you

D

Damon Longworth

Hello everyone

Walked in the door about 8 hours ago from my London return trip - 20 hours
from door to door. I wanted to thank everyone who attended the conference,
with a special thanks to the great group of presenters. It was a fantastic
event, even though London was in the grips of a strange heat wave. We had a
very good mix of topics presented.

As with all of the past events, the evening get togethers were very
enjoyable. They gave those in attendance the opportunity to make new friends
and get reacquainted with friendships made at previous conferences. I always
look forward to the conference evenings and this past week exceeded my
expectations.

It was my first trip to the UK. I appreciate everyone who provided
suggestions and helped me see parts of England that I would surely have
missed.

Those who have not attended one of these events are surely missing a
wonderful experience. Each time, I meet more and more of our online
community. This alone makes it all worthwhile. Now when I read the posts of
the people who have attended the conferences, I can hear them speak and see
there body language. It really transforms the online experience.

In addition, I meet some of our fellow Excel-lers who are not aware of this
great resource. For these people, I tell them about the various online
communities available. Many will join our group.

Be sure to give them our usual welcome. I know they will benefit from the
fantastic depth of knowledge assemble here, just as I have. We are all lucky
to have this very valuable resource.

Hi Damon

Glad you got back OK.
I thoroughly enjoyed the conference and also found it great to be able
to put faces to Names and that will make viewing posts a lot more
interesting.
As for the other guys there, they are just mad that all need 16:9
monitors now, if they are going to have any chance of visualising me sat
behind the screen<vbg>

Many thanks for all of the effort you put into the organisation, and
ensuring that it all went off very smoothly. We were unfortunate in
hitting the same time as the highest July temperatures for a century in
London, but what a great extra reason to enjoy those beers in the
evenings.

I'll have to see if I can save up some cash to come over to the States
next time.
