i've got a windows 2000 network with win2K server and
winXP workstations. the profile path for the users point
to a folder on the server. when the users try to logon, it
takes nearly 15 minutes to load the profile.
I then tried to remove the profile path to create a local
profile, but this hasn't made any difference. how do i
reduce the logon times, pls?
any suggestions are welcome.
thanks

Does the ipconfig/all from the clients show that all is pointing to your
server-IP?

will test the DNS settings. it could be that it is
looking at a different server, as the DHCP server is on a
different domain. thanks for the replies.
