Hi -
I recently installed Windows 2000 with SP4 from a Ghost
image. The only thing I needed to do after the initial
mini setup was to update the virus protection and install
a bunch of Windows Updates.
It was after that I noticed that when trying to log on,
the machine just hangs with a blank desktop and
hourglass. I can then simply press ctrl, alt, del and
choose Logoff and then log in again without any trouble.
This happens every time. The computer is an NT4 domain
member and it happens with any local or domain account,
with the possible exception of the local Administator.
I have never seen this exact behavior and the user is
accepting it as a minor nuisance, but I'd like to get it
right if anyone has any ideas.
Thanks
