Logon error message

I am trying to network 2 computers. My desktop is running Win XP Pro and is
connected by wire to a Belkin Router. The router is being used as an access
point. I am using dialup service for internet, on the desktop. I am trying to
network a laptop, running Win XP Home. It is using a wireless card to access
the router. Internet connection sharing is working fine. When I "View
Workgroup Computers", on the laptop, both the desktop and laptop are shown. I
have set my "C" drive to be shared on the desktop. I am the only user on both
so I should have administrator rights on both. When I double click on the
desktop from the laptop, I get an error message. "\\desktop is not
accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource.
Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access
permissions. Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon
type at this computer." I have tried with "simple file sharing" disabled and
enabled. I have checked the permissions and have clicked the boxes to allow
everything. I have gone through the wizard, using my XP Pro cd to set up the
network. I am able to access the laptop from the desktop. I have tried to
look at everything I can think of to compare the 2 and set them up the same.
Still cannot access the desktop from the laptop. I have tried with firewall
enabled and disabled. I have Norton Antivirus running on desktop. I have no
3rd party firewall programs on either.

The error "Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon
type" is pretty well known.
