Logoff

Couple of questions about logoff:

1. Is there an easier, methodical approach to having people logoff the
network after x minutes? Right now, before doing backups, I just do a
killing of the session.

2. Is there a way to audit logoffs? Clearly there is a way to audit
logon's, but what about logoffs? <ie: forced or logged off?>

Thanks
