LoginCreatedUser problem please help

Hi.

I am using the createuserwizard with the logincreateduser="true" set
in the CreateUserWizard1_CreatedUser

event code i do a profile.something="a string"

but it keeps saying that property cannot be set for anonymous users.

i have not set anything to do with anonymous users in the web.config file.

surely the user is logged in as per the script property?
