How do I get rid of the login and my password --go right to windows??
Patty

If there is only one account without a password assigned to it, XP should
just boot right up.

I changed the password leaving it blank but the box comes up with my name
and I have to ok it.

Click Start | Run and enter "control userpasswords2" (no quotes) and click
OK. Uncheck the box "users must enter a user name and password..." and
follow the prompts. Your system will now boot straight to the desktop :-)

Hi Patty,

Click Start, Run and type CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2, and click Ok. Uncheck
"Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" option, and
click Ok.

NOTE For Windows XP Home, don't try to auto-login as built-in
Administrator, as you're not permitted. Once you uncheck the option "Users
must enter a user name" and click OK/Apply, Administrator account name will
be displayed in the text box. Type-in a different user name and password in
order to auto-login to that account.
