Login to Admin

I'm new to Windows XP and especially to Media Center.
I have a laptop that came with norton installed and when I try to change the
settings, it tells me I do not have access.
I checked my user ID and it has admin priv.
How do I get logged into Admin?
 
you have to logout and then press Ctrl+Alt+Del one or two times.
then you should get the classic login screen. now you can change the
username you want to login into Administrator and then type the password and
login
 
To log on as administrator in XP Home. Restart your pc in safe mode (Press
F8) during startup. When you get to the log on screen you will find there is
now the option to log on as THE Adminstrator. Strangely there is no password
required to do this. On installing XP I always restart in safe mode, go to
control panel, user accounts, and assign a password to the Administrator
account.

I just did not know if media center was home or pro.
I guess I'll try them both and see which one works.
