Login Password requested

Hi. I have a problem and don´t know how to solve it. The Windows XP starts
but appears user´s login, a password is now requested. All users don´t have a
login password. If i try to log in with a empty password show me a message in
portuguese but i´ll try to translate, The system couldn´t start your session
because the domain CASA isn´t available. Only have a OK button e return to
the user´s login. Even in safe-mode e trying to log in with the adminstrator
account ask for the password and shows the same message. How can i solve this
problem? Repairing the installation of Windows XP? Thanks for your help.

Press F8 on restart, and choose Safe Mode.
Press WinKey-Break,(or start/run 'sysdm.cpl'), Computer Name Tab, click
Change button. Remove the CASA membership.

The problem is that i can´t log in even in safe-mode so i can´t change that
setting. There is another of changing that? Boot from cd and repair the
installation it will solve?

Your only chance would be the option to boot to 'Safe Mode With Command
Prompt', and to run system restore.

Before you do that, try:

http://home.eunet.no/pnordahl/ntpasswd/bootdisk.html

I've used this many times to get access to machines after the users have
left or forgotten their passwords. I think it also allows you to do
things with Domain settings. Check the FAQ (link on that page). When
you change the Administrator password, just make sure to choose to blank
it out rather than setting it to something else. That has been the only
problem I've had with it.

Good luck,

Steve

Hi
I tried what you said but didn´t fix it. So i boot from windows xp cd and
made a repair of windows xp´s instalation and fixed the problem. Now it works
normally as usually and don´t need any user´s password.
Thank you all for help and some tips.

A repair installation should not cause the loss of any data. However
there is never a guarantee that nothing will go wrong, and it is
always prudent to be sure you have a backup of anything you can't
afford to lose before beginning.
