Hi there

Pls help me if you can

I am currently using win 2000 on a IBM thinkpad. Today I changed the work group of my machine from my companies domain to the workgroup of my University Lab. Now the problem is I cant login to my machine even with the old Login details. Pls throw some light asap. I have all my stuff on the machine and it is really urgent

The problem is probably not with workgroups as much as it is with domains.
Your problem probably started when you removed your computer from the first
domain (your company)--without the local administrator password, you won't
be able to log onto the machine and change domains.

Contact your network administrator for the local Admin username and
password.

If you want to log in with the old credentials, change the domain from the
domain of your company to the name of your computer. IIRC, the domain list
doesn't show unless you hit the "options" button at the logon screen.
