Logical drives and contained files highlighted in blue?

Hello:

I have setup a second hard drive for data storage only (no OS) and have
allocated all availables space under a single extended partition to make
future expansion as painless as possible. I have divided the extended
partition into three logical partitons, whose volume labels are now
highlighted in blue in My Computer. The same happens to all files and folders
that are now stored in these logical partitions.

Is the blue highlight normal? Will my logical partitions behave like
separate hard drives (e.g. allow me to format any one of them separately
without affecting another)? And is it possible to disable to blue highlight?

Compressed NTFS files are displayed in blue.

Encrypted NTFS files are displayed in green.

If this option is selected in Folder Options...
Start | Run | Type: control folders | Click OK |
View tab | Show encrypted or compressed NTFS files in color

[[Specifies that the names of files you compress or encrypt on NTFS drives
appear in a color when you view them in a folder window. This does not
apply to folders you compress using ZIP compression utilities.]]

Hope this helps. Let us know.
