Hello:

I have a workgroup with 5 systems, 3 XP home, and 2 XP
pro's. I problem I'm havingf is with the XP pro's.

1. I can't seem to figure out why this system is asking me
for a user ID and password? The user appears in the
wporkgroup. I have administrative rights to this system,
so if there's anything you guys could suggest.

2. This one is invisible. It's not on the workgroup
domain, however, the workgroup and user name are in the
settings. As if there's is another firewall, even though
it's turned off.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've been trying
to look up info on this all day, but no luck.

THANK YOU!!!

Home uses Simple File Sharing. Users on a LAN are authenticated on a guest
basis. Pro can use Simple File Sharing or the more classic ACL. Details
about how both of these work and how to set them up can be found here:

Suggestion: Add passwords to the user accounts. If the username is on more
than one machine, make sure the account names and passwords match exactly
(case sensitive).
