logging on automatically

i have a laptop with windows xp, and im the only person who uses it, and i
dont want to have to go to the welcome screen every time i use my computer.
is there any way for it to automatically go to my user account as soon as the
computer turns on?

At the Command Prompt type in :-

control userpasswords2

On the Users tab, clear the "Users Must Enter a User Name and Password
To Use This Computer check box and click OK. In the next window that
opens enter the User Name and Password that you want to be logged in as.
