Logging Into AD via WAN Link

Sean

My question is: All users authenticate via a WAN link to
domain controllers in Denver. If the WAN link is down
cached credentials should take over (10 is the default)
and should be enough until the link is back up.

What about accessing resources on member servers on the
client side with cached credentials. Will the access
token the client has be enough to still get to file
shares, printers, etc. with the link down?

Thanks in Advance
Sean

Sean-

The client's token should be sufficient.

How many clients are at this remote site? Have you considered putting a DC
there?

.
Approximately 200 clients. They do not have a DC or an
Exchange Server. A bit worrysome when this division
generates ad revenue for the cable market. I need to make
sure that these people can do their job when that link
goes down. So the access token generated by the cached
login should be sufficient to access resources on their
subnet while the link is down?

Thanks, Sean

Sean-

You should be fine with the cached token.

I'd work on getting a DC in there by the sounds of this situation.
