I'm logged in as the Domain Administrator onto a Windows2003 Server. It is a
Domain Controller.

If I open the Event Viewer, then select one of the logs, I get a message
saying I have access denied.

Oh, but if log in as someone else with Admin priv's, or remote desktop in as
Admin, I can open and view the Event Viewer Logs.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Bob

I had this same problem....here is what I found.

Someone placed my Administrator account in the "Guests" and "Domain Guests"
groups. This restricted their rights to view the log files. If the group
membership is okay, I would double check your policies for the accounts
restricted access to the logs.
