Log on Page

When windows starts, the first page that is seen is the users page. Listed
under the users it tells me how many email messages are unread. I do not
want this displayed or I want to change/remove the email account that gets
listed here. How do I do this.

You can try dis ---

Start > Run > regedit

Navigate to
-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail

Double-click > MessageExpiryDays , set the value to 0 and click OK
[Note : if the key - MessageExpiryDays isn't available, create a new value,
type DWORD ]

Close the Registry Editor, and log off and check it.

You can also use Microsoft's TweakUI PowerToy to do the same
thing. TweakUI can be downloaded here:

Once you've installed TweakUI, go to Start -> All Programs ->
PowerToys for Windows XP and launch the program. Navigate to
Logon -> Unread Mail. Change the settings for all users or just
your account and click OK. Reboot to see if you get the desired
results.
