Log off problem

I recently updated my computer for Internet Explorer 7. Immediately after
that I began to encounter the following problem. I can log off with out a
problem if I do it soon after logging on but after being on a user name for a
few minutes I am unable to log off or shut down. The screen flashes but it
does not log off. That name can continue to be used. I can switch users but
cannot log off or shut down.

I also get an error message when I log on that says "The procedure entry
point GetProcessImageFileNameW could not be located in the dynamic link
library PSAPI.DIL"

I checked Microsofts Website and found no answers.

There have been numerous posts about this problem with Psapi.dll (note it's
..DLL not .DIL) and IE7 in here and in the internet explorer newsgroup,
microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general.

Same problem here.
Using valid Windows Vista Buisness. system hangs on log off. Strange, but
while using Windows XP pro with IE7, problem didn't accure, it only dropped
warnings when whutting down, that some .dll couldn't be loaded because
windows is shutting down.
my current Computer configuration:
Lenovo 3000V100 (windows Vista Capable) upgrade advisor suggested using
buisness edition.

Intel Core Duo 1.6 GHz
1GB DDRam.
256 MB Video.
