Locking Windows XP

I am going to be setting up Windows XP Pro on several PC's in a school. I
was wondering if anyone had suggestions as to how I can lock down things such
as the desktop wall paper, desktop icons so students can't change them.. Any
ideas how this is possible. Also, they will be wireless and I want to only
allow them to connect to one wireless network (not allowing the other
networks to be seen or pop up when they come in range). Is this possible?
Thanks,
Luke

Yep, stop them from doing the serious stuff like change wallpapers. Aren't
there other things a bit more important?
