Locking Down XP

Hello

What is the best way of locking down XP, is
it users privledges. Installing some sort of
security program. Any suggestions??

That's pretty broad...

You might want to narrow down what you are trying to accomplish and in what
environment. But in general..

-- Use NTFS so you can better use the groups to limit users.
(File/Folder permissions as well as Registry permissions.)
-- Use the firewall to protect from some worms/trojans.
-- Use a good/updated frequently antivirus software.
-- Use group policies to further limit what users/groups can do.
 
You may also want to see www.dougknox.com, Win XP Utilities, Windows XP Security Console. This utility allows you to apply a large number of the User level group policies, on a per-user basis.
