Locking computer - for good!

Hey,

I am trying to find a way to change something in the way
xp locks computers.

At the moment I can lock my computer but anyone can come
along and enter their username and password and log me
off. How do I disable this option so that my computer is
actually locked so short of pulling the power lead, I can
not be logged of. I am connected to a domain and use the
crt-alt-delete logon prompt (as you've probably guesed).

If there is a solution, is it similar for win2k.

Thanks

Since you are on a domain, you will need to ask your domain administrator to change the domain security settings which determine who can unlock your client computer. Even if you convince him/her to change the security policy, a user could still theoretically use your computer if that person was willing to restart your computer via hardware (i.e. pulling power cord). Unfortunatley, there is no software fix for this problem yet. If it is a big issue, you should consider locking up the tower portion of your computer to prevent unauthorized access.
