I'm designing an analysed cash book for a friend. I want to protect the headings but allow free access to the remaining cells for data entry and inserting formula eg page totals. When I protect the sheet and lock the headings cells itworks fine except that the formula button won't then work so my friend won't be able to total his data at the end. Any ideas?

I do this quite often and do not have any problems. Be
sure all the cells that will have access by the client are
unlocked.
