locking a print area

i have ceated a template with an appendix at the end with examples. the
template will be filled in by users, but i do not want the appendix to print
when they print their filled in template. is there any way to set it up to
prevent the appendix from printing?

In this case, the easiest solution would be to keep the appendix in a
separate file.
