Lock record after search-how to disable scrolling wheel on mouse?

I have a Search screen form and a Main form. After selecting a record (i.e.
record #1) from the Search screen, the Main form displays that record and all
of its related fields (i.e. record#1). However, once on record#1, how do I
disable the scrolling wheel (the "scrolling thing" between the 2 mouse click
buttons-sorry don't know technical term) on my mouse???

When you roll the wheel back and forth, it enables the user to go back and
forth from record #0 and back to record #1. I just want the displayed record
to stay on record #1 since that is what was selected. If record #5 is
selected, then it goes back and forth from record#0 and #5.
