I am trying to lock certain cells on a worksheet that I have created. I would
like to keep peole from making any changes to certain cells? How can I do
this?

Thank you

Hilight the whole sheet, right click, select Format Cells,
select Protection and unclick the "Locked" box.

Hilight the cells you want to protect, right click, select
Format Cells, select Protection and click the "Locked" box.

Go to Tools -- Protection -- Protect Sheet and hit OK.

If your users know how to unprotect the sheet you might
want to use a password.

Generally by Tools Protection.

The default for cells is locked so if you go to Format Cells and go to the
protection tab, uncheck any and all cells you want the user to be able to
change.

Then go to Tools Protection, protect sheet, enter a password and you are good to
go!
