Hello,
I want to lock a cell's formula, yet still allow edits in
the cell. It doesn't appear possible, but here's hoping!

TIA,
Sandra

I'm not sure I understand your question, but
you either lock the cell (whether there's data
or a formula in it) or you open it up for
editing. You can't have it both ways AFAIK.

Anyone else?

Hi Sandra,
Can you be more specific as to what you want to do, and
what you don't want to happen. What version of Excel.

Protection, Worksheet

Suppose you only wanted to protect cells that currently have formulas.
Ctrl+A to select all cells (protect off, when starting)
format, cells, protection, uncheck everything
Edit, Goto (Ctrl+G), Special, formula (check all indented within formula)
now you have a selection of cells with formulas
Format, Cells, protection, locked
