Lock forms

I have a database I created for multiple users on a shared drive. The main
page is a form with multiple forms on it where anyone can click on these
individual forms and generate a sequential number. I would like to lock each
form so that only one user can enter at a time to eliminate multiple users in
the same form at the same time creating the same generated number.

Each user should access the database from their own front-end running on
their own workstation, but connected to the data on the server. The database
needs to be split, to do this:
