Local security Policy

Dear all:
I renamed the administrator and changed the local policy
settings afterwards. Now when cannot log to the machine
using the new admin due to local security policy, yet i am
able to access it remotely. Is there is any way to change
the Local security Policy or at least to reset it?
Thank you in advance

You should still be able to log onto it locally using the original name if
the changed name does not work. --- Steve

Dear Steve:
I tried using the old one yet i was not able too. Which
is logical since when i try to login using the new one it
gives me an error stating that the local policy does not
allow me.

Is this a domain machine or not? It sounds like you changed the logon
locally user rights assignments. If it is a domain machine you should be
able to configure domain policy to override Local Security Policy. You may
also have to configure the deny logon locally setting at the domain level,
by adding something like just the guest account to it. If it is not a domain
machine, you will need to use secedit in a batch file on the locked out
machine as a startup script. --- Steve
