Is there a way to determine what the name of a local network connection
workgroup is? I connect to a local network via a DSL/Cable Modem router with
several people at my office. I have one computer that has been connected for
a while and it can see the shared folders and printers of the other
computers, but I need to setup my new computer, but I don't know the
workgroup name. is there a way to see what the workgroup name is on the
computer that is already connected?

Right-click My Computer, click Properties, then click Computer Name.
