loan amortization- how can I enter 4.75 years? no a whole number

I am using the loan amortization template available for excel. The loan I am
using is for 4.75 years (4 years 9 months). The template will not allow me
to use 4.75 years, it will only accept whole numbers between 1 and 30. Does
anyone have any suggestions on how I can get around this? Thank you!

Simply do the following steps:
1) unprotect the sheet
2) Click on the cell where you input the years
3) Select from menu DATA then VALIDATION
4) Select "ANY VALUE" in the Validation dialog window
5) "Increase decimal" spaces to 2 so that you can see 4.75 when you
type it in there
6) Enter other values for your amortization table
7) BINGO!
