Loading XP Home Edition

When I load Windows XP home edition on a computer that had Windows ME I get
the following message at the very end of the process:
"The user interfaceDLL GT Gina failed to load. Contact system
admiinistrator to replace DDL or restore original DDL"

Any suggestions?

Clean install or upgrade?
