loading personal settings takes 3-4 minutes...

This didn't happen a week ago, and.. I haven't installed anything 'unusual'
since, but two days ago, all of a sudden, it takes my PC forever to boot...
Loading personal settings takes 3 - 4 minutes.. This happened with 'Saving
personal settings' as well until i installed UPHClean... I've tried at work
(logging onto domain) and at home (simple wireless network), this happens at
both places..

I've removed some 'unnecessary items' from msconfig, with little or no
improvement...

But you apparently did install "something" the way it's phrased. Uninstall
it and see if it helps. That's always the place to start. "unusual"
describes nothing.

Did you try a system restore to before the problem happened? Any updates
from windows update installed?

System restore wouldn't work (there seemed to be a couple 'available' but
neither of them would complete sucessfully)
